After working around the world for esteemed menswear labels such as Craig Green, Walter Van Beirendonck and Gosha Rubchinskiy; William Palmer made the bold decision to go it alone and create his eponymous brand.
PALMER’s roots go back to the designer’s Weston-super-Mare youth. The tongue-in-cheek brand is a result of his innate pride for the country that raised him contrasted with memories of growing up in a broken Britain.
Coming-of-age in a time when manhood was championed by chav-culture, PALMER was built to subvert the uncompromising ideas of what being a man meant then and the effect these stereotypes still have on society today. PALMER’s nostalgic and dynamic pieces reimagine iconic menswear staples. The use of playful detailing challenges toxic masculinity, paying homage to quintessential Britain while redefining what “dressing like a man” means.
